Workers’ Compensation

Workers’ Compensation

If you are injured on the job, you may be entitled to Workers’ Compensation benefits. Unfortunately, not everyone injured on the job is entitled to Workers’ Compensation benefits. However, this is why it is very important to speak to an attorney if you have suffered an on the job injury and the insurance company wants to take your statement. What you say and how you say it during that statement can go a long way in determining whether or not you ultimately receive Workers’ Compensation benefits.

If the insurance company accepts your claim and agrees to pay, you could be entitled to three types of benefits: First, you are entitled to have all of your medical expenses that are related to the claim paid. Second, you should receive two-thirds of your lost wages during the time you are out of work, once you have been out of work more than seven days.

Finally, if you have a permanent disability, you are entitled to payment for that permanent disability.
